Welcome to the first online issue of Wisp-ers.

What is Wispers: Wispers, is a monthly email update from the Unisono Team, to keep everyone up to speed with what's going on in the Unisono community. You of course have an opt out, option, please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the page.

What's with the name? Wisp, stands for Wireless Internet Service Provider...ahhh, now you get it ...

Content will include handy hints on your connection, updates re our ever expanding coverage, housekeeping stuff, like when the office is open (& closed), & general computer info you might find interesting.

New office hours: For security reasons, and because we’re so busy with new connections, we've decided to make the official Unisono office hours:

Monday to Friday 8am-1pm.

You can be assured that someone will be in the office during these hours to take your payments and answer questions.

Please still call us outside those hours if you have any questions. We call regularly to pick up the voice mail messages.

This way you get the best customer service and know we’re here when you need us

Payment convenience…
if you have trouble getting to the office, don't forget you can always pay by paypal or credit card on the Unisono website. Click here to make your payment!

Service enhancements We have already installed a new antenna this year to extend our service coverage area, with the goal of providing coverage for people anywhere in a 25km radius of SMA (this includes the roads to Querétaro and Dr Mora).  If you know of anyone that might like to have Internet that is out in the country please ask them to call us.

Handy Hint: These are trouble shooting steps to take when your internet isn't working before calling us. Some of you might need a refresher on this... Click here to see this article

Don't forget you should definitely have your antenna plugged into a power regulator. Two people have called us in the last few weeks with burnt out equipment caused by power spikes.

Power here in Mexico (especially in rural areas) is very sporadic, brownouts & even black outs are very common, as are electrical storms. To prevent burnouts Power Regulators can be purchased at Office Depot for as little as MXN$350 (consider it insurance!).

"Ask Jesus" - General Computer info.– Hacking & spamming of email accounts has been prevalent lately, (by the way this is nothing to do with Unisono's service, we simply provide internet access to your house what you use it for is up to you).

It appears to be mostly affecting Yahoo accounts users. A simple prevention method is to change your email logon password regularly at least monthly is a good idea.

If you continue to get hacked or a concerned about it you can change your email provider to a more secure provider, such as Gmail. Ask Jesus Now! Send him an email at support@unisono.net.mx

Suggestions: We're also open to suggestions for the content in Wispers, maybe you want more computer info, email us your question, & we may feature it in the monthly "ask Jesus" section...maybe you’d like to alert Unisono users to special offers by your business, or maybe you have another good idea…
